Kids' preventive visits

For eligible children under the CDBS (Child Dental Benefits Schedule) — up to $1,132 per child over two years, no out-of-pocket. Eligibility based on family income and qualifying Centrelink benefit.

No-gap applies for patients whose extras cover the items listed and who haven't exhausted their annual limits. We'll verify your specific cover via HICAPS at reception before any treatment begins. Additional work (fillings, crowns) is quoted separately — see the full breakdown below.

Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly with any of our Perth clinics. Just bring your health fund card and we'll handle the claim at reception via HICAPS.
What if my fund isn't listed?
We accept all Australian health funds via HICAPS. You'll get the best rebates at our preferred-provider funds (HBF, Medibank, nib, HCF, CBHS, and Bupa at selected clinics), but any fund member can claim on the spot — including Smile.com.au.
Can I claim on the spot?
Yes — we use HICAPS. Swipe your health fund card at reception after your appointment and your fund pays us directly for the covered portion. You only pay the gap (if any). No claim forms, no waiting for reimbursement.
How do I know what my cover will pay?
Two ways. One: bring your card and we'll check at reception before we start — if anything isn't fully covered, you'll know the exact gap before the dentist begins. Two: call us on 1300 694 675 and our clinic manager can estimate it for you over the phone.
What happens if I've already used my annual limit this year?
Two options. If it's close to your annual reset date (most funds reset on 1 January, but some reset on your policy anniversary), we can book you in after reset to access your new year's limit. If you'd prefer to come in now, we'll quote you the private fee before any work starts — no surprises. For multi-visit treatment, we can often stage it across two plan years.
Can I book my kids in at the same time?
Yes. Tell us at the form or on the phone that you're booking multiple family members and we'll coordinate appointments back-to-back. Eligible children up to 17 may receive CDBS benefits — up to $1,132 per child over two years, no out-of-pocket at our clinics. Eligibility based on family income and qualifying Centrelink benefit.
